About

My passion for the healing arts began in 2002 when I enrolled in a one year program for therapeutic massage at the National Massage Training Institute in Falls Church, Virginia. Over the next five years, I furthered my bodywork studies in modalities such as reflexology, craniosacral therapy, neuromuscular therapy, prenatal massage and reiki.  After a serious horseback riding accident in 2005 and subsequent reconstructive shoulder surgery, I began receiving acupuncture in an effort to alleviate pain and encourage healing.

To my surprise, not only did the treatments dissipate my physical pain, but I began to notice other areas in my life improving as well. What I experienced through acupuncture I can only describe as a mental and spiritual awakening.  Inspired by my own healing experience and realizing the power of this ancient medicine, I was determined to share it with as many people as possible. I enrolled in the internationally recognized Masterʼs of Acupuncture program at Tai Sophia Institute in 2007 and committed my life to healing others.

As your practitioner, I am dedicated to supporting your path towards health by listening carefully to your concerns and goals. I deeply honor and recognize your bodyʼs ability to heal itself.  I treat your whole person (mind, body and spirit) and address not only your symptoms but also their root cause.  Additionally, my treatments focus on prevention of future dis-ease.  By unraveling your patterns of imbalance, treatments can allow peace and ease to replace stress and worry in your life.  And as your partner in this journey towards health, I also may recommend sustainable lifestyle changes with the hopes that you gain a better understanding of your own health potential and further empower you to achieve harmony and balance outside of the treatment room.
